TTU Bullet Advertising Team 2024-2025 – AT&T

2024-2025 AT&T®

The Bullet Advertising Team at Texas Tech is a group of students selected by interview to compete in a national student advertising competition. The annual competition is put on by the American Advertising Federation and features a corporate client. Past clients have included Nissan, Coca Cola, JCPenney, Yahoo, and State Farm. The client provides a case study outlining the history of its product and current advertising situation. The case study reflects a real world situation to challenge students’ critical thinking abilities and creativity. Students must research the product and its competition, identify potential problems and develop an integrated communications campaign for the client. Each student team then pitches its campaign to a panel of judges in April and then June if the team progresses to Nationals.

I was chosen to be the director of the Creative Team. Each week we drafted two new campaigns consisting of a pitch, prints, video spots, and promotions, and presented them to the team in hopes of landing on one that captured the message we were assigned in the brief. Over a few months, I created a portfolio of graphics and copywriting, as shown below. Some were used in the final campaign and others were from campaign ideas that were not used.

After we finalized the campaign, I was assigned to be the production director where I worked with a team to brainstorm, script, storyboard, film, and edit campaign commercials and print advertisements. Campaign in progress…

AT&T believes every customer deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. While other providers might treat you like just another number, to us, you’re more than just a line on a bill. AT&T knows you rely on your connection for more than just calls and texts. It’s about keeping in touch with family, making memories, and achieving your dreams. With AT&T, you’re part of a community that values you and puts your needs first. It’s time for a provider that truly understands your worth, because, to us, you’re not just a customer. You’re a Big Deal.

AT&T Campaign Pitch: Make it Clear

This campaign focuses on identifying AT&T as a slice of life. In our everyday lives we use our devices and technology to connect with each other. From sharing a crazy story on FaceTime, to a virtual meeting with your boss, to gaming with friends. Connectivity is different for everyone but the last thing you want is an interruption in your connection. AT&T is there to make it clear so you don’t miss a beat.

AT&T Campaign Pitch: AT&T is More

The “AT&T is More” campaign blends nostalgia with modern connectivity, showing how technology continues to bring people together. From handwritten letters to video calls, the ways we connect have changed, but the emotions behind them remain timeless. Through shared interests and its reliable network, AT&T bridges past and present, proving that connection is still at the heart of the human experience.

AT&T Campaign Pitch: The Bigger Picture
